How do I contact you?

You can call us at the studio at (770) 813-0826 or email us at booking@rodneymills.com

How much does mastering cost?

We charge $15 per recorded minute for mastering. If you are doing different versions of your song(s) (e.g., radio versions, instrumentals, performance tracks, etc.), we only charge $15 flat for each additional version - as long as it's the same mix and we master them at the same time as the main version. This price includes one copy of your master but you can get additional copies at $10 each. Our mixing rate is $125 per hour.

Is there a minimum charge?

For attended mastering sessions, there is a $100 minimum. Many projects meet this minimum when mastering multiple versions of a single (see above). There is no minimum for projects that are uploaded to our server, dropped off at our studio or mailed in to us. Unattended sessions can still be booked on our calendar.

How far in advanced should I book my session?

Try to book your session at least 2 weeks ahead of time. Depending on the size of your project and our workload, we may be able fit you in sooner.

Do I mail you my mix or should I come there.

Many of our clients come in and participate in the mastering process but you can also mail your mixes, drop them off at our studio or upload them to our server.

What format should my mix be?

We can master from most formats including Wave, AIFF, SD2, Audio CD, DAT and 1/2" & 1/4" analog tape. If your mix is in a different format, let us know - chances are we'll be able to accept it. If you need help saving your files, let us know and we'll help you prepare them in the best format for mastering.

What other services do you provide?

We also do mixing, editing, some tracking and we can develop multimedia CD's. We can also encode your songs for radio airplay tracking systems (BDS & Mediabase) as well as instantaneous digital delivery to radio and club DJ's using our dedicated server (contact us for more details).

Can you duplicate CD's?

We can record a few copies of music on CDR but CD manufacturing is not a service we provide. If you're not sure where to take your master for duplication or replication, we can help recommend a manufacturer for you.

Can you make "Enhanced" CD's?

Yes we can! We can add multimedia to your audio master including adding lyrics, artwork and video among other things. Complicated projects can sometimes take several weeks to complete and test so make sure you contact us ahead of time with your project ideas!

What kind of gear do you use?

While the majority of our mastering is done using analog equipment, we also use an array of digital gear to collectively get the best sound from your recording. See our Gear page for more details.
